2. Definitions
“Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural or juristic person, including but not limited to name, contact details, identity number, employment information, educational history, psychometric assessment results, and any other information defined as personal information under POPIA.
“Special Personal Information” means personal information concerning a data subject’s religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political persuasion, health, sex life, biometric information, or criminal behaviour. Psychometric assessment data may include elements classified as special personal information.
“Processing” means any operation performed on personal information, including collection, receipt, recording, organisation, storage, updating, retrieval, consultation, use, dissemination, merging, restriction, degradation, erasure, or destruction.
“Data Subject” means the individual or entity to whom personal information relates.

6.1 General Consent

8. Cross-Border Transfers
We do not, as a rule, transfer personal information outside South Africa. Where a cross-border transfer is necessary (for example, through the use of cloud storage services), we ensure that:
- The recipient country maintains adequate data protection laws;
- The recipient is subject to a binding corporate agreement or contractual terms that provide adequate protection; or
- You have given explicit consent to the transfer.
9. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law or professional standards.

Once the applicable retention period has expired, personal information is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

Psychometric assessments involve standardised scoring methodologies. However, all assessment reports are reviewed and interpreted by a registered psychometrist (Michael Bennet) before being issued. No significant decisions affecting you are made solely on the basis of automated processing without human oversight.
